After last week’s cliffhanger, I couldn’t wait to see the drama that was going to ensue at the beginning of this week. Ben pulls Olivia to the side to discuss the girls feelings about her. As expected, Olivia plays the victim pretty well. She tells Ben she feels she has had a target on her back since the first night when she got the first impression rose, causing her to be less social. Ben buys into it as would most men that can’t see through bullshit from a pretty girl. She gets to keep her rose… which sets the other girls off into a whiny, complaining mental state.
Jennifer ends up getting sent home. It’s not shocking because they didn’t spend much time together one on one. However it does suck that a nice girl got sent home rather than Olivia.
After the rose ceremony the clan is en route to the Bahamas. They arrive at a beautiful beach side resort. The girls think this is the best way to travel. Well, soak it in while you’re still on ABC’s dime. Soon, you’ll have to use your Instagram product endorsement cash to fund your travels like the rest of Bachelor nation.
Leah: Leah hasn’t had much on screen time. In fact, you’re probably wondering who Leah even is. She has been one of the few to not get a one on one with Ben. Ben gives this week’s one on one to Caila which causes a major melt down for Leah. She questions why he has kept her here for so long if he doesn’t plan on getting to know her and she thinks she is done for with no alone time for another consecutive week. I can’t say I blame her because I would feel like I was wasting my time too. Without that one on one time, you’re probably going home. But, the theatrics and hysterics on her end have got to go.
Caila- Ben is nervous that he won’t get past her smiley side and wants her to open up so he takes her on the one on one. If you remember their last date, she didn’t really talk much so I’m not sure how he knows anything about her at all. Caila & Ben’s conversation is honestly confusing and makes no sense to the outside viewer. She says that she feels like she loves him but she doesn’t know why she can’t open up or share things. She thinks that maybe she’s not ready. Maybe her head and her heart are in different places. Her biggest fear is that she can’t fully love someone and his biggest fear is the opposite. You sense a pattern right? There are a lot of ‘maybes’ in question here. Can they be together then? At this point, Ben is thinking of sending her home. I was thinking, Caila that’s 3 strikes and you are out. But then Caila turns it around by convincing him that she really does have feelings for him. Are you ready or are you not? Ben thinks she is so he gives her a rose. Something is telling me that she’s not really ready. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be questioning it. When you know, you know.
Group date: The girls go on a boat with Ben. Pigs come in the water and surround them in the boat. Who the hell thought of this date? The tension is palpable on the date and the energy feels really awkward. Ben’s now realizing it’s impossible to keep all the girls happy. I mean…duh. Ben needs to hit up a mormon advice column for dating. Leah confronts Ben about how she feels he hasn’t wanted to spend time with her or get to know her. This is the beginning of her pathetic, self pitying downward spiral. It is only going to get worse. Ben honestly looks exhausted. He’s tired of the drama, tired of being confused and tired of the girls acting strangely. You can’t blame them. It’s getting late in the game. Emotions are running high and their hearts are at stake. A lot of the girls are feeling the same way. Becca tells Ben she pulled away at the group date because he has such a strong connection with Lauren B and was paying so much attention to her. Next, up Leah proves to be even worse of a person than Olivia. Last week, we didn’t know her name. This week, we realized we were better off not knowing. Leah tells Ben that Lauren B. acts differently towards him than she does in the house. This comes as a surprise because it is completely unwarranted. Lauren B seems to be a favorite in the house. It really is a big thing to turn Ben against another girl in the house so if you’re going to take the plunge you better have the other girls to back you up. The claims need to have some foundation. Leah doesn’t have any sense of girl code. I’m sure if we stalk her social media we might find out that she has no girlfriends because anyone who does would know better than this. Leah knew she was going home so she needed a scapegoat to save herself. The idea was to turn him against Lauren and make him send her home instead of you. The fixation on Lauren B and the sheer jealousy was unreal. Leah proved herself to be a crazy bitch. Crazy bitch #3 of the season. Good job casting department! You did your job well. After Ben tells Lauren B and she is visibly upset, Leah makes it a point to say that she did not do it. She is now double the liar. Leah’s desperation continues later into the night when she decides to show up at Ben’s room to make sure he knows how bad Lauren truly is. Instead of utilizing this new found alone time with Ben to build their relationship, she uses it to bash another girl. It shows how desperate Leah truly is and that their relationship isn’t growing as fast as the others and this might be why. She really went to an extreme. Ben knows that this isn’t right and sends Leah home. Here’s to hoping Leah feels as stupid as she looks!
2 on 1 date: Olivia & Emily go on the epic two on one date. Emily has to battle it out with the house villain to make sure no one else has to deal with her again. On the date, Olivia tells Ben that she’s in love with him. Emily opens up about wanting a future with him. Thankfully, Ben sends Olivia home and tells her that he doesn’t reciprocate her feelings. He’s not in love with her. All of her weeks of crazy finally came to fruition. She dug herself a hole that she could not climb out of. I bet all of America is proud of Ben for seeing through Olivia’s bullshit finally.
Rose Ceremony: Ben decides to cancel the cocktail party, ripping away the girls last chances to get in conversation before he decides their fate. Ben is drained after a long week. Lauren H. is sent home. I didn’t really see a connection there so I can’t say I’m surprised that Ben let her go. The connections with JoJo, Becca & Lauren B. are much stronger.
