This week’s episode begins with the girls taking a trip to Vegas. We all know that anything that happens in Vegas is bound to get interesting.
One on one: Jojo gets the one on one date and is so excited about it. In my opinion besides from Lauren B & Becca, JoJo is the only other genuinely nice and wholesome girl in the house. JoJo opens up about her last relationship and her cheating ex. I’m not sure how you solve insecurities about cheating on a show where your boyfriend dates 20 other women at the same time. To each their own, right? Either way, I’ve been there JoJo. She made everyone feel ALL the feels. JoJo, I am officially on your side.
Olivia: We’re slowly starting to realize how delusional she really is. She does complete 180’s throughout her confessionals. One second, she’s all like “Ben’s ma man.” Next second, she’s whining about her insecurities. She feels insecure about JoJo and she feels like she’s being cheated on. News flash Olivia: You’re on a dating show with so many other women. How did you really think it would feel?
Group Date: They go to a theater to practice for a talent show. A talent show that will be performed in a Vegas theater of 1200 people! Cue every girl shitting their pants once they heard the news. The twins turn out to be professional river dancers. Jubilee can play the cello. Lauren B can juggle. So what could Olivia do? Olivia was claiming this “secret” talent the whole day during rehearsals. Apparently secret talent also stands for make an ass out of yourself on television. Olivia decides to jump out of a cake in a burlesque/vegas show dancer skimpy outfit and dance around and shake her boobs (or lack thereof) a little. So you don’t have a talent? I don’t think that could even be considered one. Each week, I think that my second hand embarrassment for this girl can’t get worse and it does. She’s half naked, looks slutty and does not project herself as marriage material. She looks like a cheap stripper. It’s clear that she felt so awkward on stage that everyone watching this was visibly uncomfortable. Afterwards, Olivia has a panic attack backstage after feeling incredibly embarrassed and thinking that Ben was mortified by her performance. She felt like she was doing something outside of her comfort zone but instead afterwards had giant pangs of regret. Her insecurities are coming out even more now and her confident facade is fading fast. They’re even more evident when she tries to apologize for her terrible performance and babbles nonsense to him, making it even worse. “I’m not good at being showy” says the girl who is constantly trying to be in the center of attention. She feels as if Ben’s acting different towards her. Here’s a hint Olivia: maybe it’s less the performance and maybe it’s your cringeworthy comments about your cankles in Ben’s time of need last week? Just a thought. Maybe he saw your freaky toes and decided to run for the hills like the smart man he is! Meanwhile, Lauren B.’s connection with Ben is palpable. She might be nervous about how great the other girls are but I think she has her head on straight more so than the rest. Lauren B. ends up getting the date rose as Ben wants to validate what they have.
Caila: Caila gets pretty aggressive with her makeout sessions with Ben this episode. Ben wasn’t sure if there would be passion there since she’s pretty shy but now he’s referring to her as a “sex panther”. I think that’s a term that should never see the light of day again, except for maybe in some weird porno context. I have to say, I didn’t think she had it in her but girls will do anything to stick out at this point. However, it’s not all about the physical aspects Caila. You have to actually SPEAK to fall in love.
One on One: Becca gets the one on one and gets sent a wedding dress sparking everyone’s curiosity about what the date could be. Jubilee makes a comment about Becca being perfect for wearing white due to her virginity. Rude and unnecessary comment, Jubilee. Jubes, you’re just jealous. Ben ends up telling Becca that he saved this date especially for her. It turns out that Ben got ordained and they are going to marry some lucky couples IRL. During the date, they approach the topic of Becca’s virginity and how it is a commitment that she’s stuck to despite it being challenging at times. Ben is so supportive of this and sees her commitment to this similar to a commitment to marriage. He’s into the fact that she has faith and morals. He makes her feel completely comfortable about it which is nice to see. I like Becca and always have but I am not 100% sure if I see them together in the long run. Despite her being more willing to open up this season, I don’t think the chemistry is as strong as it is between him and Lauren B.
2 on 1 date: Surprise!! There’s a 2 on 1 date. And better yet; a 2 on 1 with TWINS! This was bound to be brutal. You can’t blame Ben. It has to be pretty tough to date sisters, let alone twins. Both of them being their was impacting their relationship and keeping it at a standstill. They signed up for this knowing he had to pick one of them and it was time. He takes them on a hometown date to see their mom. Unfortunately, his relationship with Emily is progressing much faster than his relationship with Haley so he decides to send Haley home. Emily is clearly the more dominant and outgoing twin. It’s tough for Haley to express herself and put herself out there. She will thrive in a different dating situation where you are not looking to build a relationship ending in engagement in a mere few weeks. She needs more time. I was shocked to see how well she took it and how she was still so excited for her sister to continue her journey. Props to you Haley!
Cocktail Party: What else is new? Olivia steals time from Jen. She wants to apologize to Ben (some more) and assure him that she is not insecure and has not been acting like herself. Really Olivia? You seemed pretty insecure for the entirety of this episode. She tells Ben she is falling love with him. It seems a little early to play that card. It’s only week 4. It seems like a ploy to get him to keep her there. Who else’s insecurities were pretty relevant? Jubilee. I give credit to Ben for listening to all of these girls vent about how insecure they are about where they stand. Confidence is key. Confidence is sexy. Nothing is worse than a whiney bitch. There is nothing more annoying than listening to someone go on about the same thing constantly and that is what these girls are putting Ben through.
Rose Ceremony: Olivia gets the last rose…again. I’m going to need to drink my way through next week’s episode to tolerate her presence on my television for another 2 hours. Amber & Rachel get sent home. Rachel’s relationship with Ben didn’t seem to be going anywhere. They didn’t have much one on one time. Amber leaving was karma for being mean to Jubilee last week. Let’s be real, she was never really that relevant anyway. Bye Felicia!!
