There are some beauty products that we would consider “extras.” These are the things that you walk by while you’re in Sephora and just can’t help but purchase even though you don’t really NEED it. There are also some, that are more likely considered “necessities” for everyday (despite what your boyfriend thinks). Here are my picks for the best everyday beauty products:
- A Good BB Cream
Marcelle makes a great BB cream called Golden Glow. For everyday wear, I find that foundation is too thick. I try to reserve foundation for night time or special occasions. Golden Glow BB cream provides a little shiny and a creamy base for your skin that also works as a primer, moisturizer and skin protectant. It puts so many jobs into one product, making it versatile and worth your money.
2. A solid black eyeliner for a winged look
Loreal Lineur Intense Brush Tip Eyeliner is perfect for making either thin or thick bold dramatic lines.
3. Elizbeth Arden 8 Hour Cream
This cream provides a moisturizing and shiny base. This has been a staple of makeup artists for years and there’s a reason for that; it works.
Nars Orgasm blush has been a cult classic for a long time. It looks good on EVERYONE despite their coloring. Not sure how… but it does. This should be a staple in your makeup bag.
5. A good bronzer
Benefit’s Hoola bronzer is another favorite. A little bit of bronzer and blush can go a long way.
6. Lash Enhancing Mascara
Stila extreme lash mascara’s brush not only provides length but also extreme amounts of volume. Once I tried this brand of mascara, I never looked back.
7. A Beauty blender
This little egg shaped sponge makes a massive difference in face makeup application. It removes the likely probability of cakey foundation and replaces it with an airbrush like finish. This is especially good for the application of concealer.
8. Nars creamy concealer
This concealer is light to medium coverage but instantly refreshes you and makes you look more awake. It spreads on so easily and does not crease like many other concealers that I have tried. If you have super dark circles you may need something more high coverage.
9. A Nude Lipstick
Nude lipstick is so versatile. It can be worn with anything and should be a staple in your makeup arsenal. My favorite is LipKit By Kylie – Candy K.
Benefit High Beam is the perfect addition to add a little bit of shimmer on days where you’re feeling a little spunky. Cream highlighters are the best for adding a pop of shine on your cheek bones or T zone. Powder highlighters often end up looking chalky or cakey. This is the perfect bit of pink shimmer that goes on skin as a clear looking glow.
11. Naked Palette
The most versatile eyeshadow palette of all time comes with all the neutrals you will ever need.
These products are ones that will not go to waste. They can be used to create dramatic looks or even the “no make up, make up” look, making your dollar go a long way.
