When I first started this blog, I wasn’t entirely sure what direction I wanted it to go in. I was wary of becoming too niche and had a fear of pigeonholing myself into a certain category that I would be forced to stick to. I put together a list of my passions; the things I wanted my blog to be focused on. They were fashion, fitness, beauty and food/health. I ended up creating this to be a lifestyle blog where people could come and read about a variety of topics and see my tips on them. I chose Fresh Fit Fab because it incorporated what I wanted the three main pillars of my blog to be; fashion/beauty, exercising, and eating well.
Deep down, I knew I wanted my main focus to be fashion but I let fears of my limitations steer me away. I told myself, “You don’t have a professional photographer”or “Your content will never be as good as ___’s.” Both of those things may still be true, but I’ve stopped comparing myself to others and learned to accept myself and my work. I blog for a hobby, as my creative outlet, and a place to share my style and passions with others that share the same interests. Comparing yourself to others is the most negative thing you can possibly do!
Fast forward a year or so and I’ve found myself gravitating towards fashion much more than any other type of content. I’ve found that I’m staying true to myself and what I’ve always envisioned my blog to be. While I still enjoy discussing and sharing healthy lifestyle tips and workout trends here, a lot of what I choose to post regularly focuses around my outfits and daily style. I felt that the name “Fresh Fit Fab” just didn’t feel like me anymore. The blog name stopped relating to the message it was trying to convey and I felt in my gut that it was time for a change.
So, why “Behind The Scenes with Brittany” you ask? Well, I’ve felt that the evolution of my lifestyle site has truly become a behind the scenes look at my life. From the clothes I wear and where I shop, my travels, my fitness routine and how I stay healthy, I truly share all the different aspects of myself and my life with you all. Instagram never fails to show the behind the scenes look at everything I do. If you followed along for the past week, you would have gotten a full BTS look at New York Fashion Week; all of the shows I went to, parties and events with fellow bloggers and all of the craziness that goes on all week. I’m excited to start this next part of my blogging journey and share some new (and hopefully improved) content with you all! This is only just the beginning.
