Another five things friday comin’ at ya! Here are some of the things I’ve been loving lately:
Living Proof Dry Shampoo
This is by far the best dry shampoo I have ever used. Everyone knows it’s actually unhealthy to wash your hair everyday. Luckily since I have thick hair, I can afford to go a few extra days every now without washing when I’m super busy or want a blowout to last a little longer. This dry shampoo cleans super well and leaves my hair looking shiny. It prevents itchy scalp and is great for all hair types. Just spray and let it sit for a few seconds before rubbing it in. Make sure you hold it at least 5-10 inches from your root so you don’t over saturate your hair.
2. Arctic Zero Cookie Dough Chip
Arctic zero is a fat and dairy free ice cream that actually doesn’t taste like shit. The new line of creamy flavors are delicious but my favorite by far is cookie dough chip. The vanilla flavor is laced with mini chocolate chips and cookie dough chunks which makes it feel like a decadent dessert for only 75 calories per half cup. This stuff gets pretty icy in the freezer so I recommend microwaving it for about 12 seconds to get it to a creamy consistency.
3. Benefit Watt’s Up Highlighter
Highlighting and contouring are the makeup trends of the moment right now. I love this highlighter to highlight my cheekbones and nose. It is a gorgeous shimmery champagne shade that is flattering on most skin tones. A little goes a long way to play up your best features so go light. You don’t want to end up looking too shiny. The thick roll on applicator comes with a sponge tip on the opposite end to blend it in. When highlighting or contouring, the most important step is to blend, blend, blend.
4. Blanket Scarves
Blanket scarves are so versatile and can easily be worn multiple ways to shake up your outfit. You can change your outfit by simply changing your approach to wearing the scarf. Wear it as a poncho, cinch it with a belt around your waist, or wear it looped around your neck.
5. Oribe Texturizing Spray
This spray adds a ton of volume to your hair and can also double as a dry shampoo. Strands sometimes fall limp after sleeping on them. To get that extra lift back in your hair, spritz some texturizing spray and fluff it up with your fingers. Your hair will thank you.
