Blanket scarves are easily my favorite winter accessory. They’re stylish but also affordable, versatile, and completely functional in all kinds of winter weather. Let’s be honest; most of the time chic accessories are not always the most functional. Stilettos, I’m talking to you. But really, who wouldn’t want to walk around all day wearing a blanket in the winter? Now, if only we could wear our pajamas all day long…
A lot of the times I hear women say that they’re not sure how to wear a blanket scarf because they are so large. Luckily, there are a number of easy ways to style them. Here are my two favorite looks to make with blanket scarves:
I love this style because it’s simple. In order to achieve this look, be sure to fold the scarf in half diagonally. Then tie the scarf the same way you would a regular scarf, leaving the “kerchief” side created by the diagonal fold facing the front.
This look takes about five seconds to throw together and is super easy. It spruces up any plain sweater and all it takes is draping the scarf around your shoulders. With this style, you will really feel like you’re wearing a blanket. It can even be spiced up by adding a belt to it (as seen here).
