I feel like picking out a new workout outfit is one of the best ways to motivate yourself to get to the gym. Let’s face it–just getting there is half the battle. Active wear has really changed for the better over the last few years. With the rise of the athleisure trend, we now see workout clothes that you would want to wear even if you weren’t going to the gym. The racks of stores are now filled with strappy sports bras, pants with mesh cut outs and tops filled with fun and loud prints. When choosing workout gear, there are tons of options to choose from. Here are my favorites–
Kate Hudson’s athletic line is a monthly online subscription service that sells athletic gear at low prices. Once you sign up, you can purchase full workout outfits for $49.95 and up. Most brands cost more than $50 for a pair of workout leggings these days so I find that Fabletics is a great deal. The best part is that you are not required to make a purchase every month in order to be a subscriber. Each month, you can log in to your account between the 1st and 5th of each month and click “skip the month” if you don’t feel like making a purchase. The catch is that if you miss this window, a $49.95 credit will be added to your account for later use and you will be charged. As for the gear itself, the line has tons of vibrant prints, cozy lounge wear and even functional pieces that you might not even wear to the gym! There is such a wide variety of high quality pieces and everything is updated based on the latest athleisure trends.
This retailer truly embodies the idea of fashion meets fitness. This is my go to for chic looking active wear. SomethingNavy and We Wore What have collaborated with them in the past so you know they have the trendiest workout apparel out there. If you’re unfamiliar with them, they are both bloggers that have become major fashion industry influencers. Bandier carries tons of great brands that are stylish but also durable. Some of these brands include Koral Active, Splits59, Nike, Alo Yoga, and more. These brands can err on the pricier side but the quality can’t be beat.
An oldie but a goodie! This will always be a staple in my workout clothing collection. This brand makes my all time favorite workout leggings and yoga pants that have lasted me years. They have yet to stretch out or get pilly. You are getting great quality for the price you are paying.
I love this brand for their comfortable sweaters, sweatshirts & leggings. You can’t go wrong here!
This brand is pretty new to the scene but they are taking the fitness world by storm. Their line of workout gear is technical and practical. Don’t expect too many funky prints here! Everything is clean, simple and modern looking. This line is perfect for minimalists or those who love monochromatic looks.
These department stores have really been upping their athletic gear department since the rise of the athleisure trend. Expect to find some of your favorite brands like Nike, Free People (they have yoga gear!), Alo yoga, and Spritual Gangster. Other brands to look out for? Terez. Their leggings are super fun! Make sure to shop sales for the best deals here.
Old Navy has an awesome workout line that is really reasonably priced. Their tops & leggings have a great fit and are soft and comfortable. It is definitely worth checking out!
