When it comes to maxi dresses, I usually avoid them at all costs. Being 5’0, there are rarely any maxi dresses that are the right length for my short frame. It seems like too much effort to get a foot of fabric hemmed off a dress most of the time. However, when I saw this dress I fell in love and knew it would be worth it. I’m pretty sure I got half of the dress hemmed off the length but it was well worth a trip to the seamstress. The parts of this dress that I love the most are the front cut outs and open back that show just enough skin but not too much. With this dress, it’s all about the details. The second part of the dress that drew me in was the bright color and print. It’s so fun and tropical; it instantly makes me feel like I’m on a vacation. The next best part is the price (which may be the most important)! This maxi was under $60 (and if you’re a normal sized person you don’t need to pay for alterations). I purchased this dress from Lola’s Cookbook, which is a traveling boutique on Long Island. Yes, you read that right; it’s a boutique truck! Definitely a really cool concept in my opinion! It can also be purchased from Necessary Clothing.
